Can I replace my roof on my own?

Can you replace your roof on your own?  Of course!  But without proper experience, we don’t recommend it.  Installing a roof greatly benefits roof sound techniques and the right materials, especially if the roof is to provide the protection you expect and need. Roofing is also dangerous work, with sloped and often slick surfaces-and at heights that can prove injurious or fatal with a fall.  Generally, your interests are better protected by hiring a professional roofer.

How much does a new roof cost?

There are several variables that factor into the cost of a roof, the square footage of the roof itself being foremost among them. Roofing materials, warranties, and other considerations also contribute to the overall cost.  Getting several quotes is always advisable, as it gives you an opportunity to compare providers, their knowledge, skill-sets-and how dependable and easy-to-work with they may be.

How long will it take to replace my roof?

As with estimating cost, there are several factors at play in answering this question, as well.  While the size of your home will play a large part, things like extreme slopes on roofs, time of year, and temperature can also affect project timing.  A conscientious roofer will work to understand all these factors before offering a schedule.

Can I stay in my home or my business while the roof is being replaced?

Generally, yes. It is unusual that a homeowner would need to vacate the residence while repairs or installation are being completed.
